Sting will be back to all our after-school clubs from 9th January. This term we will be starting preparations for our summer annual show which will be on Saturday 1st July at South Mill Arts theatre in Bishops Stortford. This show will involve all the after-school clubs in North Essex. (Please check the show page for more info on the schools involved)
We will also be delivering LAMDA ( London Academy of Dramatic Arts) awards. Children will be given a verse and prose’s from the LAMDA syllabus. Taking a LAMDA exam is optional and there is an extra charge for participation to the examination board. We believe that LAMDA provide a richness to learning and supports a deeper understanding of the subject matter, meaning that learners are able to build up their confidence in speech as well as fulfill a love of drama, literature and performance.
LAMDA qualifications provide vital life skills to individuals, enhancing creative skills and enabling learning in a fun explorative way. By developing their communication skills, learners are improving their levels of self assurance, confident in the knowledge that they can articulate and express their thoughts and ideas, and importantly make their authentic voice heard. While working towards their LAMDA qualification, learners develop a strong speaking voice, reading fluency, a broader vocabulary, enhancing memory and recall, improved English language skills.
We look forward to welcoming you all back for a busy spring and summer term.
